Henry Cavill in Conversation with Josh Horowitz

Day two and another zoom talk. Tis the season. So tonight was Henry Cavill in Conversation with MTV’s Josh Horowitz with Henry talking about his new role in Enola Holmes 2. There could have been a bit more Holmes and Enola discussion, but with the new Superman news this past weekend these things happen. I think Cavill makes an excellent Holmes, but he is a bit of a controversial choice in the Sherlockian community because he is apparently too muscular. Cavill is a total geek in the best sense of the word, as he is into video games, playing World of Warcraft and Warhammer, and he was almost cast in Harry Potter as Cedric Diggory, both of which is old news, but still fun to hear about.

Here is the official blurb on the event:

“Join actor Henry Cavill with MTV’s Josh Horowitz for a live taping of Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast to discuss his storied career, from Man of Steel to The Witcher to his role in Enola Holmes 2, the eagerly anticipated sequel to the hit Netflix movie. The new film sees Cavill reprising his role as famous sleuth Sherlock Holmes, Enola’s older brother. Now a detective-for-hire herself, Enola (Millie Bobby Brown) takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends — and Sherlock — to unravel. Hear Cavill discuss the making of the sequel, his seamlessly witty onscreen rapport with Brown, stories from behind the scenes, upcoming projects, and much more” (https://www.92ny.org/event/henry-cavill).
