Dark Places, Wicked Companions, and Strange Experiences: The Exhibit

Between meetings, I was finally able to go and see the new Sherlock Holmes exhibit: “Dark Places, Wicked Companions, and Strange Experiences” a Conference Exhibit at the Elmer L. Andersen Library, University of Minnesota. In August, “The Norwegian Explorers of Minnesota, the Friends of the Sherlock Holmes Collections at the University of Minnesota, and the University of Minnesota Libraries will hold a conference to surprise and entertain attendees with the many dark places, wicked companions and strange experience that Mr. Holmes and other characters have encountered” (http://www.norwegianexplorers.org/2019_conference.html). The exhibit is great with sounds being played, footprints, and some eerie trees, as well as some really fun items from the collection. The mousy Sherlock Holmes is adorable! While standing in the exhibit, I was kind of disappointed that there was no fog rolling on through, granted it would have gotten the collection damp and that would have been bad, but it would have been really fun. I am looking forward to the conference in a few weeks.
