–Breakfast at Marriott Courtyard Hotel.  Hours: 6:30-10:30 AM.

–Meet in lobby at 9:30 AM for departure to U-Bahn station.

Daily Event

–Visit to Bayern Munich FC home field at Allianz Arena for facility tour and discussion.

–Site: Allianz Arena

–Directions: U-6 Line from Marienplatz Station to Frottmaning Station

–Time: 11 AM.

–Dress Code: Business casual attire.

–Topic: Discussions on the globalization of sports generally and soccer specifically.  Security studies perspectives on security challenges during international events at sports stadiums.

The VIP tour of the Allianz Arena was fun, but a lot of walking. Walking to the Arena and around the Arena, but we got to go into the locker rooms, on the main floor, and into a $100,000 VIP box.  Then I went with a great group onto one of the Hop-On, Hop-Off City Tours of Munich. The bus tour went all around Munich including by the Olympic Stadium and Nymphenburg Palace. The day started off cool, but it became really hot and sunny and I became a bit sun burnt.
