Today’s (Monday October 11, 2010) episode of Oprah was the one that I attended (along with my Mom and family friend Janet) last week on Wednesday October 6, 2010 in Chicago. It was fun to watch the show on TV, less than a week after I had seen it live and in person.
It was interesting and slightly odd to see how they edited the show all together. Oprah interview Mark Fuhrman, the police officer from the OJ Simpson murder case, for over an hour last week, yet on today’s show the interview only lasted less than 30 minutes. Also things were out of sequence and sentences were cut down. All the fun personal Oprah stuff was edited out. I guess that’s the magic of television. They also did not include the second interview that she also did that day about the woman convinced of killing her husband.
In case you were wondering, they did not really show the audience. But in one shot if you look very closely you can see my raised hand (so I am a blob in the background, but a blob is better than nothing. There are also blobs where Mom and Janet were sitting).
