Another series, another midnight opening.
Tonight was the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games. The movie was pretty good, but it was not violent enough and there was not enough character development. Plus there was some really shaky camera work (they shook the camera a lot during the killings, so that we would not notice the violence, death, and blood of kids killing kids. Most likely this was done to pull a PG-13 rating instead of the R it really needed to tell the the story). But in all, I still enjoyed the movie. My friend Nicky, who attends the Twilight movies with me (our third Twilight moviegoer Jenny decided to sit this one out) arrived early to save us seats. Thanks Nicky!
Speaking of Twilight, before The Hunger Games started, one of the movie previews was for new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn Part 2. Sadly the preview was very disappointing.
