Halloween and All Hallow’s Read, a bit early

My favorite niece and nephew stopped over for Halloween today and received their “All Hallow’s Read” books! For those not in the know, “All Hallow’s Read” is a new holiday where you give a scary book to someone (look it’s a holiday with it’s own website http://www.allhallowsread.com/). Yes, it’s a book giving holiday!!! It originated with Neil Gaiman a few years ago and now that the kids are older and turned out to BE READERS it was time to start a new tradition (besides my being the weird aunt that always gives them autographed books for Christmas). So for our first “All Hallow’s Read,” Louisa received “The Graveyard Book” by Neil Gaiman and Julian received “Fortunately the Milk” by Neil Gaiman (yes, yes, I know these books are not scary, but I was going for fun and funny vs. scary).

Be cool and buy a book for someone for “All Hallow’s Read”!
