Another of the ‘Greatest Generation’ has left us. Today was the funeral of Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth, at St George’s Chapel, Windsor. He was just two months short of his 100th birthday. Prince Philp was in the British Navy during World War II and before he married Queen Elizabeth. Not a state funeral and greatly reduced in size and attendees (only 30 were allowed), the funeral was a bit under an hour, but still dignified and moving. The image of the Queen sitting alone with her head bowed was heartbreaking. History seems to be catching up.
