Today was Omnifest day! The Science Museum of Minnesota has a Omni theater (a 90 foot movie screen) and once a year they show 5 different films all on the same day for a few weeks. For the past few years I have been attending Omnifest with my friend Susan, whom I met in library school years and years ago. This year we went to the first two shows, “The Greatest Places” and “Van Gogh: Brush with Genius.”
I love visiting the Science Museum. You just never know what you will find around the corner or above you- like dinosaurs, stuffed critters, musical steps, or maps. They are currently in the process of taking down all the Titanic exhibition and putting up the Dead Sea Scrolls. As you can see from the first photo below, sometimes they are really in-between!
