Ilyasse and 20,000 other people got to see Barack Obama tonight at the Excel Energy Center in which Obama clinched the Democratic Presidential nomination, becoming the first African-American Democratic presidential nominee. When I talked to Michelle, she said you could see the huge lines around the Excel (she could see them from her condo balcony) of people waiting to get in. Apparently an extra 20,000 people could not get inside. She talked to Ilyasse and he knew a guy and was able to get in early and get a seat a few rows away from the stage. Turns out the seat was really good, because not only did he have a really good view of Obama, but Mom saw him on the local tv news- Channel 5 when they showed Barack and his wife on stage.
