Saturday August 25th aka IDV Day #2 In-Person was a busy one with lots to do and I had my second fall class: Globalization! Driving to school this morning I took a look at the reconstitution and building going on. Its nice to see all the changes on the USM campus, beaches, and in Gulfport. Once again there was no lunch time speaker. Two days in a row now, whats up with that? Dinner was again at a place I had never been to before, the Cajun Crawfish Hut. Having driven past many, many times, I tended to avoid it, as I do not eat crawfish. The food (I had chicken) was ok, but way too deep fried. I will not be going back. Then it was on to a party for newlyweds Candace and Ben. We played a fun card game called Apples to Apples and I won!
Having visited Mississippi many times over the past two years I have not really had any weather issues (only 1 missed flight due to bad weather in Houston), but it seems that might be changing as Tropical Storm Isaac comes closer and closer. Some of my Floridian friends are in the hurricane path, so they headed back today just in case they need to start to pack up their belongs and loved ones (my recommendation: grab your school books!).
