Happy 90th birthday to the The Ninety Nines and a Happy 70th to the Minnesota Chapter of the 99s!
The 99s (aka The Ninety-Nines, Inc. International Organization of Women Pilots) start on November 2, 1929 with Amelia Earhart being elected as the first President. I joined as a student pilot back in 2009 and have met many, many wonderful women and men because of this amazing organization. I have been the Minnesota Chapter secretary, reporter, and social media coordinator. I created the Facebook page, the Twitter account, and lastly the Instagram account, but I just do the Twitter and Instagram accounts these days. I was not able to attend today’s birthday celebration, but here’s to many, many more happy birthdays!
