The Friends of the Sherlock Holmes Collections held their Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 23 at the Elmer L. Andersen Library at the University of Minnesota. University Libraries E. W. McDiarmid Curator of the Sherlock Holmes Collections Tim Johnson gave a talk on the State of the Collection and there was the rededicating of the late Allen Mackler’s reproduction of 221B Baker Street. I especially liked the collection of books by Holmes and Professor James Moriarty and the violin. No “VR” bullet holes on the walls yet, but a lovely photo of Her Majesty was on the desk with a Baedeker guide.
