Tonight was Ladies Night aka ‘Chocolate & Lace’ at Running Aces Harness Park. It was so much fun! Cece, having just finished her killer spring semester finals, left child and hubby to partake in a bit of gambling with me.
After checking in, we were given gift bags filled with coupons and goodies. Then we toured the vendors looking at their merchants and getting a sticker on a card for each vendor visit. After receiving all the stickers we turned in our sticker cards for the big drawing at the end of the night. Next we ate (which included a chocolate fountain, fruit, veggies, chocolate cake, and wine) and drank- they had a lovely chocolate wine which was very yummy. And then we played blackjack! I thought we would be learning how to play blackjack, but nooo…it was also a blackjack tournament with a 1st and 2nd place winner at each table. After 21 hands of blackjack, I ended up winning 2nd place!!! I received a $50.00 gift card for Lebens Floral & Garden! Then a while later Cece’s name was picked for the big drawing and she won the runner-up prize- a huge bottle of wine (1st place was an even bigger bottle of wine).
Both Cece and I had a great time at the Running Aces Ladies Night and would certainly go again.
