Fantastic talk today hosted by Janae Dandridge of Tableau on “Women Leading Through Change in Government: Rosie Rios”
Rosie Rios was the 43rd Treasurer of the United States (2009-2016). She talked about a lot of different issues and even mentioned how she worked in a library when she was in high school (her favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird). Rosie is one smart amazing lady and lets hope to see her again in January 2021.
Here is the blurb on the talk:
“We are living in an unprecedented time of change as we navigate the global crises in health, the economy, equality, and leadership.
Women Leading Through Change in Government highlights powerful voices leading the way. We’ll share tools and strategies for professional and personal growth, and the power of data to elevate people and initiatives across the public sector.
Join Tableau for an insightful conversation with Rosie Rios, 43rd Treasurer of the United States. Treasurer Rios was the longest serving Senate-confirmed Treasury official beginning with her time on the Treasury/Federal Reserve Transition Team in November 2008 at the height of the financial crisis. She initiated and led the efforts to place a portrait of a woman on the front of U.S. currency for the first time in the nation’s history. Treasurer Rios continues to advocate for women and girls and launched EMPOWERMENT 2020 at Harvard. She currently lectures about her tenure in Treasury and building leadership and civic engagement.
Treasurer Rios will be hosted by Janae Dandridge from Tableau for a 30 minute fireside chat, followed by a 15 minute live audience Q&A. Join us as the pair discusses:
