Who Wins?

Who Wins?

“President Barack Obama’s former strategist David Axelrod and star Republican strategist Vin Weber size up the advantages and disadvantages of Former Vice President Joe Biden and President Trump. Biden’s vice presidential pick, summer conventions, and fall campaigning are some of the topics” (https://www.hhh.umn.edu/event/who-wins)

A webinar about the 2020 election hosted by UMN Center for the Study of Politics and Governance, Humphrey School of Public Affairs with David Axelrod and Vin Weber and hosted by Larry Jacobs.

I attended a very good webinar about the coming 2020 election. It look place over Zoom on July 9, 2020. I took an elections class with Larry, use to listen to Axelrod’s podcast before it became pay-per-view (not sure if it still is, but I am against paying for podcasts), and remember when Weber was in MN politics, so it was nice to already know something about all three presenters.

Here was the blurb on all three presenters:

David Axelrod is a former senior advisor to President Obama and was the chief campaign strategist in his 2012 presidential re-election campaign. He is also the director of the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.

Vin Weber is a partner at Mercury where he provides strategic advice to institutions with matters before the legislative and executive branches. Previously, he represented Minnesota in the U.S. House from 1981-1993. He is one of the most prominent and successful strategists in the Republican party and enjoys strong bipartisan relationships across the different branches of government.

Larry Jacobs is the director of the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance and the Walter F. and Joan Mondale Chair for Political Studies. His commentary and research has been published and discussed in a number of mass media outlets.” (https://www.hhh.umn.edu/event/who-wins).
