Today was a battle of wits and we lost and the world ended. Sorry about that.
So today six of us ladies went to The Riddle Room aka an escape room game- which is where you go and are locked (not really) in a room with a mystery to solve. We were doing the game: ‘Bunker: Missile Command’ where you are trapped in an army bunker and you only have 1 hour to solve the mystery and open the lever the will stop the nuclear weapons from going off and save the world. Sadly that did not happen. The game was really hard and one hour is not long enough to solve the various clues and win the game. We were originally suppose to do the space game, but it was broken. But this one was fun and exciting to try and solve the game, but it totally sucks not to win. As one of my former students once commented to me when I asked her how many books she had already so far in the year and I commented that I had read more “Melissa, its not a competition” to which I replied “Yes, it is.” Because really, it totally is. I am not really a competitive person, not against other people nor against myself, as I have nothing that I need to prove, but I do like to win.
