The Librarians…the TV series

The wildly delightful The Librarian TV movies are now a TV series! Here is the blurb from TV Guide: “The series is an extension of three Librarian movies the network made with Noah Wyle between 2004 and 2008. The Falling Skies star is an executive producer of The Librarians and will play a recurring role on the show as Flynn Carsen, the super-smart-but-socially-challenged curator of the Library, which houses supernatural artifacts like the Spear of Destiny, the Excalibur sword, and the Ark of the Covenant. When the job gets too big for one man, Flynn must team up with a guardian (played by Rebecca Romijn) and three apprentice Librarians (Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, and John Kim) to protect and collect magical objects, keeping the world safe from threats both supernatural and human. John Larroquette also stars, and Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin reprise their roles from the original movies. The Librarians premieres with back-to-back episodes on Sunday, Dec. 7 on TNT” (http://www.tv.com/news/the-librarians-trailer-tnt-141288688203/). I know one librarian (yes, me) who is thrilled to see role of the librarian and library expanded upon in pop culture a fun and unique way (move over Rupert Giles, Barbara Gordon, and Evelyn ‘Evy’ Carnahan).
