Surgery

I had foot surgery today, well big toe surgery to be more technical. I had hallux limitus in my big toe. Hallux limitus is an arthritic condition of the big toe which in my case led to horrible pain for the past 1.5 years, bone spurs, limited mobility and movement, and a loss of 30% cartilage.

Surgery lasted 1.5 hours, which was not too bad as surgery’s go. Eventually they freed me and I was able to go home. Because of all the pain medications they gave me in the hospital, my foot was a lovely numb feeling for over eight hours.
