Northwest Airlines History Center

Today (Wednesday October 17) is the day where I visit 2 aviation museums and take a tour. Its going to be a long day, as I have to work after, and so I stared out early and made my way down to the Northwest Airlines History Center a little before 2pm for museum visit #1. The goal of the Northwest Airlines History Center “is to preserve and present the history of Northwest Airlines, including all 12 of the airlines which are part of its corporate history” (https://northwestairlineshistory.org/about/) and its located at The Crowne Plaza Aire Hotel just south of the MSP terminals.

Its a bit tricky to find the History Center as I missed the signs and had to ask for directions, taken an elevator, walk by a gym, and walk up some stairs, but they have a nice space filled with lots of aviation archival materials. The History Center is staffed by some very nice volunteers and they have a small gift shop with some fun items. If you are into aviation its definitely someplace you need to stop and if you are doing the Fly Minnesota Airports! there is a stamp for the Northwest Airlines History Center!
