In 2019 the British ink company Diamine Inks created the Diamine Inkvent Calendars, based on the idea of an advent calendar where you open a window for the first 25 days in December, but these come with fountain pen ink! So for 25 days, you will find new fun and festive holiday inks that are standard, sheen, shimmer, scented, and chameleon! They have now released three different calendars:
2019 – The Inkvent Calendar Blue
– No calendar for 2020
2021 – The Inkvent Calendar Red
2022 – The Inkvent Calendar Green
Day 2 Inks:
2019 is Candy Cane (Standard)
2021 is Garland (Shimmer and Sheen)
2022 is Yule Log (Shimmer)
I was able to find and purchase all three calendars in the spring of 2023. It was challenging to find them new and unused. Diamine now releases the Inkvent calendar ink in 50ml bottles and you can purchase them at most fountain pen stores online in the bottle and most stores offer a smaller sample size.
The dip pens I am using are the Pilot Iro-Utsushi Dip Pen and they are also available online from various fountain pen stores. Enjoy Inkvent in July – Day 2!
