The Minnesota 99s had their summer business meeting today at the Anoka County Airport (KANE). It was a beautiful day and so we were outside in the picnic area at the base of the control tower. It’s a great location with lots of airplanes flying and taxing by, but a bit too windy. Everyone was social distancing and wearing masks. A few people flew in for today’s meeting. There are lots of new members, including a few high school students working on their private pilots license, and that is just wonderful to see. I was sitting half in the sun and half in the shade and am now slightly sunburnt on one side of my face. Sigh.
