My Obama Inauguration souvenirs have finally arrived! Granted they have arrived one week after the Inauguration, but better late then never. And what did I order, you might be asking? A book and a piece of art (a handwoven scarf). Which if you know me, is exactly what I would buy. The book is a kids book, but it was too cute to pass up. It is called “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope” by Nikki Grimes and its autographed by the author! The scarf is a handwoven Kente cloth from Master Weaver Kwasi Asare’s workshop in Ghana with Obama’s name embroidered on it.
