Today I attended a very fun workshop on how to write op-ed pieces, “In My Opinion – Boreas Op-ed Writing Workshop,” which was another of the fabulous Boreas Leadership workshops.
Here is the blurb on it: “We are looking forward to seeing you at the In My Opinion workshop on Thursday. We’ve got a great group to help you learn the art of writing op-eds. Susan Albright, Managing Editor of MinnPost, and Mike Burbach, Editor of the Pioneer Press, will be our guest panelists. Todd Rebold, the Institute on the Environment Communications Director, will be facilitating the workshop. Your pre-work for this workshop is to think about a topic you would like to write about in an op-ed. This could be related to your research, a timely news topic, or something else. You will begin working on an op-ed in the workshop, and it will help to start with having thought about an idea” (http://boreas.environment.umn.edu/).
