Today was Day #2 and the last day of the IDV Summer In-Person and I had no classes! So it was just a day of taking it easy. A friend and I went to try a coffee shop called Cat Island Coffeehouse, because we liked the name. Instead of any felines, we found a cute coffee shop and bookstore, the Pass Christian Books and there was a book signing going on. Who knew! We go for cats and find books. Life works in mysterious ways. Mystery writers Miranda James (aka Dean James) and Carolyn Haines were signing books, so I got an autographed book from each and a photo. They were both really nice and wrote a fun message in my books. Lunch was a terrible one at school. But dinner was at Tony’s Brick Oven Pizzeria and it was wonderful. I missed the IDV’s dinner at Tony’s due to a flight delay on Thursday, so it was great to go today. The staff is really nice and the pizza is fantastic. I even got to see my pizza being made.
