I know what happens to aging heavy metal headbangers!

Tonight I learned what happens to aging heavy metal headbangers! They play in Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I am sooo not kidding.

Mom wanted to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra, so this fall I purchased us tickets for their show The Lost Christmas Eve in St. Paul at the Excel Center. Neither one of us had ever listened to their music or seen any of their concerts and we really had no idea what to expect. I had some vague notion of a large orchestra, lights, and classical music. Little did I know that there would be lots of headbanging, heavy metal/hard rock overtones, guitar’s, and lots and lots of long hair (on the men). It was a fun and interesting concert (the first part was the Lost Christmas Eve which I thought was an ok rock opera story, but the second part where they reworked some classics like Pachelbel’s Canon in D was very good). The concert lasted over 2.5 hours and both Mom and I had a good time. Mom describes it as Christmas music on LSD!
