Flying Friday

Funny story from Friday. So I was working on landings, yes I am still having landing issues, but they are getting better, and Instructor Cheryl told me what happened to the Citabria. Apparently at one of the local airports there was a crazy pheasant who would come storming out of the corn fields and attack airplanes. Then sadly, a few days ago the pheasant went on a kamikaze mission against the Citabria. Well, you can figure out the rest: Citabria 1, kamikaze pheasant 0. So in honor of the little guy, a pheasant image was placed on the Citabria, following an aviation tradition from wars long ago. Who, you are wondering, came up with this idea of honoring the kamikaze pheasant in such a way? Hmmmm I wonder…
