I was digging through some old paperwork today and came across some old photos. The first is of Sir Terry Pratchett at a book signing in Minneapolis at DreamHaven Bookstore on March 24, 2005! I remember waiting in line for hours to meet him. I still mourn for all the Discworld books that will never be written and read.
This March day was also a double feature day for autographs, as I also got to meet and have signed a book (The Formation of Islamic Art) by Islamic art historian and archaeologist Oleg Grabar after he did a talk at the University of Minnesota.
