Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore officially opens tomorrow (Friday April 15th), but its showing today. So for Mom’s birthday we went back to the wizarding world! Mom with her walker and me hobbling on the bad foot (with a lot of pain) is a long ways away from the midnight showings I attended for the Harry Potter films. This one seemed a lot darker than the previous movies (talk about a Bambi’s mom moment) and a few unanswered questions – hello more info on the awesome Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks would have been nice, although one of her books Advanced Charm Casting, 3rd edition is in the movie. Overall a very fun movie with lots of Easter eggs, a host of fantastical beasties, and beloved characters.
