Tonight was an early Christmas with my favorite niece Louisa and nephew Julian and their mom Sloane. As the crazy librarian aunt, I continued the tradition of book giving and this year the autographed book was “Louise Loves Art” by Kelly Light. I also got the kids each a little piece of amber with an insect inside. I am hoping to inspire one of them into becoming a scientist (or an evil scientist, not judging here) and make me a velociraptor. I received two of my favorite things: a fuzzy Doctor Who blanket and cookies! Yummy! The kids also managed to make Mom (aka Grandma) cry with their Grandma gift. I got Sloane a little something: Doctor Who cookie cutters with a little note that said ‘cookies please.’ Truly, the gift that will keep on giving!
