Yesterday Sloane, Derek, Louisa, and Julian stopped over so that we exchange Christmas gifts and they could see Santa drive by (thanks to the local fire department). Lots of Grandma Carole’s famous homemade Chex Mix was eaten, while the kids opened their gifts. As usual, I gave the kids a fun gift (coloring book) and a personalized autographed book. Yes, I am that crazy aunt who loves to give out books. This year’s book was children’s classic “The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster. Juster was touring this year for his new book, but I thought his famous classic book inscribed to Louisa and Julian would be more fun.
