Tonight was my mom’s retirement party!
She worked for Target for 37+ years! Back in the olden days, Target would let you have two parties, one at work and one with your family. Sadly those days are gone as Target has gotten cheap with their employees (sure their CEOs get million dollar bonuses each year, but the little people in the offices get nothing. Unless you were laid-off back in 2009, as Target did to a bunch of my mom’s co-workers).
So Carole decided on a party for her family. She was allowed to invited 20 people and 20 people only as Target was picking up the tab. A menu had to be pre-approved by Target (ohhh, yes) so that people would not go over budget. Carole chose to have the party at Outback Steakhouse. As you might have guessed, we were a rowdy bunch, but everyone had a great time and the food was excellent.
