Today I had the opportunity to visit the American Craft Council Library, which is located at the historical Grain Belt Brewery building in Minneapolis. I was visiting and handing over paperwork to their Librarian Jessica, becuase my year as the Secretary/Treasurer of the local ARLIS (Art Libraries Society of North America) association is done and Jessica is the new Secretary/Treasurer. Besides the Library (which has thousands of books, exhibit catalogs, magazines, archives, and works of art on display), the American Craft Council also has their offices located here and its the headquarters for their magazine. While taking a quick tour, I was able to see some fantastic art pieces (aka American crafts) on display. I just loved the dress made of sardines and another one made of tomatoes! And no they did not smell.
