Tonight was the wedding of Abby and Kevin!
It was very odd to go to a social event after 1.5 years of not being able to go anywhere or do anything. I wore my mask in Church, one of the few that did and no, I don’t believe that everyone attending had a covid vaccine shot. I had a pew to myself, so that was awesome. I was a bit overly cautious with the mask but better safe than not, but that went downhill at the reception and dinner when I took it off. It was a great wedding, not too short and not too long, beautiful church, and Father McDonough had baptized Abby so that was fun. The Father’s brother is currently US Secretary of Veterans Affairs under President Biden and he so could not stay for the wedding dinner and reception, as his brother was in town. Excellent food and yummy wedding cake. I was thinking back on Abby’s parents Kelley and Marc’s wedding years and years ago and what a great wedding that was. I also remember a tiny baby Abby and now here she was getting married. Time moves so fast. But life and love go on even during a pandemic. Congratulations Abby and Kevin!
