The Future of U.S. Foreign Policy featuring Jake Sullivan

This talk with Jake Sullivan was probably booked weeks ago, but it was only announced this past Monday November 23rd that Jake is going to be the new National Security Adviser for the Biden Administration, so great timing on this discussion on The Future of U.S. Foreign Policy with Jake Sullivan, Vice President Walter Mondale, and Larry Jacobs. One interesting observation on this talk, everyone seemed very relaxed, was it due to the topic, the presenters, or the fact that we are past Election Day?

Here is the official blurb on the discussion:

“Join us for a discussion of U.S. foreign policy with Jake Sullivan, a policy advisor for the Biden campaign and a former deputy chief of staff for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Former Vice President Walter Mondale will join the conversation; Professor Larry Jacobs will moderate.

Minnesota native Jake Sullivan has just been appointed national security adviser for President-elect Biden’s administration. This is far from his first rodeo: Sullivan served as deputy chief of staff to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and was also national security adviser for the president-elect during his vice presidency.

Since leaving the Obama administration, Sullivan was the senior policy adviser for Secretary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and is currently a visiting lecturer at Yale Law School. Tomorrow, he’ll (virtually) stop by to discuss the future of U.S. foreign policy with Prof. Larry Jacobs and former Vice President Walter Mondale.

Walter F. Mondale’s distinguished record of public service includes Vice President of the United States, Ambassador to Japan, U.S. Senator, and Attorney General of Minnesota. Mr. Mondale is currently a partner with the international law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP.” (https://www.hhh.umn.edu/event/future-us-foreign-policy)
