Tonight was ladies (Carole aka Mom, Michelle, Me, Sloane, Kathryn, and Janet) night out to see the Minnesota Roller Girls! This is the St. Paul group of roller derby girls and the theme tonight was “A Night of Hard Knox.” The teams that were playing were: The Atomic Bombshells vs. Dagger Dolls and the Garda Belts vs Rockits. This roller derby group has a slightly different vibe then the one from Minneapolis that we went to last year, but it was so much fun. They had a ‘Black Eyes for a Buck!’ booth where for a $1.00 you could have a black eye painted on. The money raised is donated to a local charity and tonight’s money went to a local food shelf. Also all proceeds from tonight’s bout was donated to the Ann Bancroft Foundation.
