I finally got to fly to Princeton, Minnesota today (the previous trip a few weeks ago was canceled due to bad weather). It was about 96 degrees outside, but felt like 106, and with the humidity it was bad. The Sundowner was just chugging along and it took forever to get to altitude. Once we got to Princeton, Instructor Cheryl and I got a tour of the Princeton Flight Service Station. Cheryl called ahead to see if we could visit and they said yes. Princeton Flight Service Station gives weather and opens and closes flight plans for pilots around the country- basically they deal with the southern and the eastern states. They were really nice and interestingly most people that work there are pilots. We were not able to stay that long, becuase there was a big storm moving in (which we saw in glorious color on their many computers).
