I was lucky today and my first scheduled activity did not start until 10am! So after grabbing some breakfast I was off to Statistics class. In class we were given our own copy the statistical software STATA. Oh, so exciting! Then we had lunch and Dr. Robert Press of the University of Southern Mississippi talked on “Peaceful Resistance in Contemporary Africa: Non-violent Social Movements in Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.” After lunch it was off to part two of the Stats class where we learned and installed STATA (yes, the excitement never does end)! Next up is the Dinner and Social Hour at ‘The Dock’ restaurant.
FYI….the weather here in Gulfport is cold! Today the low was 38 and the high was 56! So no, not warm.
