November 2022 Reads

Lots of fun reading in November 2022, as I managed to read 7 books. The books and the links to buy them are listed below.

Remember life is way too short to read a book that you don’t like, so read what interests you. Happy reading!

The End of the World is Just the Beginning: Mapping the Collapse of Globalization by Peter Zeihan – an interesting (occasionally snarky) if a bit long book about geopolitics and the future. Read for my political science bookclub.

Star Trek: Picard: Second Self by Una McCormack – A fun in-depth story about Raffi and her past which includes Bajorans and Cardassians (including one many will know from DS9) right after Season One of Picard ended.

Galatea: A Short Story by Madeline Miller – the story of Galatea aka Pygmalion.

Ben and Emma’s Big Hit by Gavin Newsom with Ruby Shamir and illustrated by Alexandra Thompson – kids book by the Governor of California.

The Superpower Sisterhood by Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush and illustrated by Cyndi Wojciechowski – kids book by the former first daughters.

The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman – a Stoic daily devotional for 366 days a year. Took me over a year to get through, but an interesting read.

What Child is This? A Sherlock Holmes Christmas Adventure by Bonnie MacBird and illustrated by Frank Cho – A fun Christmas story with Holmes, Watson, and a kidnap attempt on a child.
