On my way to the NASA #flyNASA Social Media event in California, but getting there was an adventure. Up at 4am (I got home a bit before midnight from work and went to bed at 12:58am), left the house at 5am, arrived at the airport at 5:30am, sitting in my seat on the plane 6:45am, off plane 7:30am due to something broken (they were very vague), waiting inline to rebook and calling the 1-800 number while I waited 7:50am, buy lottery tickets (the MN raffle and got a free t-shirt for a new MN lottery promotion) 8:15am, 8:20am beverageing at Starbucks, eating tacos 8:30am, and spending the rest of my time until 2pm in the Delta Skylounge (even though I was on a different carrier I was still able to get in, but got that ‘you dont have a ticket’ comment at the desk when I checked in), 2:30pm leave MN, arrive in Phoenix at 5pm’ish (new timezone), arrive in Bakersfield around 6:30pmish (another new timezone), get car (give up the SUV to get a compact car) and drive (through the mountains, which I did not know they were there) to Palmdale – 2 hours away and arrive around 9pm’ish at my hotel. A very long day!
