Back to NASA!
We returned to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center today to take the tour and see a few things that we missed yesterday. KSC is huge and has a lot of things to see and do. We took the KSC Tour, which took us on the bus to the LC39 Observation Gantry – which has a wonderful view once you climbed up a few flights of stairs and you can see both launch pads and then we went to the Apollo/Saturn V Center which was amazing. At the Apollo/Saturn V Center they have a huge Saturn V rocket which is just incredible, plus exhibits, memorabilia, and other amazing NASA and astronaut artifacts. They also have a moon rock that you can touch! It was smooth and reminded me of a piece of slate. There is also a photo booth and you could have your photo placed in the shuttle or dressed as an astronaut. I had a photo taken as a astronaut! Then we went to see the IMAX Hubble in 3D. I had seen it before, but it’s a great movie to see a second time. We also went to the other Star Trek Exhibit which had Data’s head, lots of costumes and props, and a Klingon Captains chair.
For supper we went to a local dive called Corky Bells and Bill, Cheryl, and Will had alligator! I tried a piece of Cheryl’s and did not care for it. It was breaded and tasted like chicken-fish. I will not be having it again.
So another wonderful day at NASA!
