This morning and afternoon (it was a long meeting) was the annual Minnesota 99s Business Meeting and Holiday Party! The Holiday Parties are always fun events and lots of members tend to attend this one. While I was not feeling too well (my pre-Thanksgiving bronchitis/cold is sadly still with me), it was wonderful seeing everyone and hearing what amazing things these women have been up to (planning air races, visiting tons of airports, getting new ratings, etc). Cheryl D won the Chapter Award for Activity Attendance and Beth K won the Chapter Award for most MN Airports visited. Congrats Cheryl and Beth! The Minnesota Chapter is also in the planning stages for hosting the North Central Sectional Meeting in Fall 2015, which is why the meeting went longer than normal, so there was plenty to discuss. Great meeting, great food (someone brought these wonderful cupcakes, but sadly I did not get a photo of mine), and great pilots.
