Marketing the Academic Library

I received word today that some chapters from The Machiavellian Librarian will be included in a new ePublication Marketing the Academic Library! How totally cool is that. It was a complete surprise. The book Marketing the Academic Library is part of Elsevier’s Learning Trend Series, which is “a series of free digital volumes to support and encourage learning and development across the sciences. Each title includes content excerpts focused on a central theme to give the reader an introduction to new ideas and information on a specific topic” and Marketing the Academic Library is the first title.

1. The Machiavellian Librarian – Introduction to the Machiavellian Librarian, by Melissa K. Aho and Erika Bennet
2. The Machiavellian Librarian – Weasels and Honey Badgers: Networking for Librarians, by André J. Nault
3. Building Communities – The Whats and Whys of Social Networking for Academic Libraries, by Denise Garofalo
4. The Machiavellian Librarian – Political Positioning, by Eric Owen
5. Digital Dialogues and Community 2.0 – The Sound of a Librarian: the Politics and Potential of Podcasting in Difficult Times, by Tara Brabazon
