A long last In-Person day!
Sunday started out badly as I woke up with a cold and then I had to attend Institutions in Development class from 8-10am (the 2nd session). The rest of the afternoon was spent working on my last class paper and sending it off. There was also time to talk to people and to watch some of the PhD students march off to take their Qualifying Exams. Poor things! I remember having to take it 2 years ago and it’s not a fun experience.
I also had time in the afternoon to dig out and show a map I had drawn 3 years ago, on the first day of the PhD program, to the ladies. I drew a rather lovely, but horribly inaccurate map to the bookstore. They have never let me live it down! Yes, the drive took forget to get there, and yes, we had to ask for directions two or three times, and no, the map did not help, but still, we eventually found it.
Then it was off to the airport, return the Mustang, and take the long flights home, which were happily tomato juice incident free.
