GLOW Holiday Festival

The GLOW Holiday Festival is currently at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Mom and I went on Country Music Night which was hosted by the local country music station K102. The Fairgrounds are so widespread that they are not really set up for lights. You drive around for 30 minutes and the lights were nice, but I expected more for the price ($46 per car + fees/tax). My Mom thought other holiday light organizations do a better job, but this was their first year. I did buy some Fair food – cheese curds – sadly deep fried, a pronto pup, an egg roll on a stick, and fudge. Sadly they were out of mini donuts.

Here is the official blurb on the event:

“GLOW Holiday Festival is Minnesota’s newest holiday light experience and must-see wintertime attraction at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. The Great Minnesota Holiday Get-Together is a one mile drive-thru featuring over a million holiday lights, a 100-foot lit tree, icicle and art installations, a festive gingerbread house, plus a State Fair food parade finale! Each night of GLOW benefits a community charity working to better our world during the season of giving.

ONE TICKET = ONE VEHICLE

The drive-thru experience is TIMED ENTRY every 15 minutes and the drive will be up to 40 minutes long. Tickets are $46 plus applicable fees.
