I arrived in Florida on Thursday October 5 for my PhD Midterm In-Person at Fort Walton Beach. The weather is beautiful and we are near the ocean. Did I mention the weather?
So Thursday was also Issam’s Birthday and after going over to the Hurlburt Field to get all of our passes for the next day, we went to a Japanese sushi and hibachi restaurant. I had never been to a hibachi place before and it was great! Loved all the flame and knives and the food was good. I also mentioned it was Issam’s birthday to the staff and they came out and sang Happy Birthday and brought over a fruit tray with a candle and ice cream with a fortune cookie for all of us. Yes, Issam was embarrassed, but what are friends for!
