Tuesday May 20th was the annual EQS (Enhancing Quality Staff) symposium at the UMN. As this was the 6th time I have attended, so I knew the drill…find the fun stuff to attend.
My list of sessions:
Tai Chi for Health & Vitality by Marie Overfors and Mike Johnson, Evergreen Fitness
Bees, Beekeeping and Our Food Supply by Gary Reuter, University of Minnesota
Lunch
Japanese Book Binding by Laurie Jedamus, University of Minnesota Libraries
The Earl’s Library: English Libraries in the Age of Downton Abbey by Tim Johnson, University of Minnesota Libraries
Prize Drawing – did not win anything this year
The Japanese Book Binding was great. I got to make two new books with Japanese bindings, but three needles and one awl were destroyed. Who knew that book binding was a dangerous sport!
