December 2021 Reads

Not a lot of reading in December 2021, as life was too busy with graduation and the holidays, but I did manage to read 8 books. The books and the links to buy them are listed below.

Remember life is way too short to read a book that you don’t like, so read what interests you. Happy reading!

“When You Play The Game of Drones, You Win or You Die: Examining the Role of U.S. Drone Strikes in U.S. and English Language Allies Newspapers from 2008-2019” by Melissa Aho. I read my dissertation a few times in 2021, but I am only going to list it once.

The Norwegian Explorers 2021 Christmas Annual, No. 20: Science and Medicine by Ray Riethmeier and Phillip Bergem, Editors  – The Norwegian Explorers annual Christmas Annual. I have a puzzle “Diagnosing the Word Search” included in this years edition.

The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle by Arthur Conan Doyle – Holmes, Watson, a goose, and a blue carbuncle!

Seven Kinds of People You Find in Bookshops by Shaun Bythell – curmudgeon Scottish bookseller Bythell classifies his customers. Having worked in a bookstore for 5+ years and having spent way too many years in various libraries these categories are very accurate.

Navigate Your Stars by Jesmyn Ward and illustrated by Gina Triplet – Ward’s inspirational commencement speech at Tulane University.
