“Raised by feral librarians,” well actually the whole sentences is, “We told them I was home-schooled, raised by feral librarians” (185), has to be one of the best lines I have read in a good long while. Its from the short story “In the House of the Seven Librarians” by Ellen Klages, from the anthology “Firebirds Rising”.
Now I normally don’t like short stories. Why? Well if I am going to take the time and effort to invest in a story I want a long one, something to sink my teeth into. So anyways, I just had to read one about 7 librarians who find a baby delivered at their door/library with a note attached saying that this person was paying off their overdue book fine in the form of their first-born child. hehe! You have to love that!
