August was a very busy month and I ended up reading five books. The books and the links to buy them are listed below.
Remember life is way too short to read a book that you don’t like, so read what interests you. Happy reading!
Sherlock Holmes and the Lost Da Vinci: The Watson Files Book 2 by J.R. Rain and Chanel Smith – Holmes and Watson search for the murder of Watson’s friend Brigadier Buffington and how he acquired a da Vinci painting.
The English Experience: A Novel: The Dear Committee Trilogy by Julie Schumacher – I laughed out loud at some parts of this 3rd book about the trials and tribulations of English professor Jason Fitger as he takes a group of students to London and then chaos ensues.
The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje – I read this book years ago and decided to reread it. It is still a really good book – read it and then watch the movie.
To Shape a Dragon’s Breath: The First Book of Nampeshiweisit: Nampeshiweisit Book 1 by Moniquill Blackgoose – a young Indigenous girl finds a dragon and goes to dragon rider school in New England and cultures clash. Such a fun read and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Light Fantastic by Jeffrey Lang – Moriarty kidnaps Lal and so Data and Gordi go in search of her.
