Not a lot of reading was done in August 2021 because I was recovering from emergency surgery and my Mom had her aneurysm surgery (she is recovering and doing better), but I did finish 4 books. Remember life is way too short to read a book that you don’t like, so read what interests you!
The Quiche of Death: The First Agatha Raisin Mystery: Agatha Raisin Mysteries Book 1” by M. C. Beaton – The first of the Agatha Raisin books. You really need to read this book first to understand the character, how she became a detective, and the cast of 101 secondary characters.
Murder in Tuscany: The Posie Parker Mystery Series Book 11 by L.B. Hathaway – Posie and husband go to Italy for a wedding and guess what happens? Murder! A fun cozy and number 11 in the series.
Marvel Action: Captain Marvel: Cosmic CAT-tastrophe: Book One by Sam Maggs, art by Sweeney Boo, Brittany Peer, and Christa Miesner – an adorable kid’s graphic novel staring Captain Marvel and cats! Lots and lots of cats. Look for cameos from a few other of your favorite Marvel heroes.
The House of Silk: A Sherlock Holmes Novel by Anthony Horowitz – a fun and very dark Holmes story.
